Range Status: OPEN
Stage 1 fire restriction are in effect
The following fire restrictions will be in effect for the entire Prescott National Forest:
Campfires, charcoal grills, and stove fires (wood, charcoal, and coal burning) are prohibited on all Prescott National Forest lands, roads, and trails; except within developed recreation sites where grills and campfire rings are provided. (The use of petroleum-fueled stoves, lanterns or heating devices is allowed providing such devices meet the fire under writer’s specifications for safety).
Smoking is prohibited except within enclosed vehicles, buildings, or developed recreation sites where the area is cleared of all flammable material.
Campfires are not allowed at the designated dispersed sites within the Prescott Basin. Metal posts identify designated dispersed sites with a number.
Fireworks are always prohibited on all national forest lands.
Because of windy conditions the range may be closed. Remember to check the website or call
928 -771-9616 for range status before your trip to the range.

NEW WEB SITE: Chino Valley Shooting Facility
We are open to the public.
We are located at 2751 N. Granite Basin Rd
Take Iron Springs Road west past Williamson Valley Road to Granite Basin Rd. turn right.
Travel 1/4 mile to first dirt road on the right (FSR 374) that road will bring you into the range. Please drive SLOW coming into the range.
Please sign in and pay the Range master or Range Safety Officer (RSO) on duty before shooting and familiarize yourself with the range rules posted to the left of the Range office.
Remember MUZZLE POINTED UP OR DOWN RANGE AT ALL TIMES. Eye and ear protection is required. The fee’s are $10.00 a day per shooter and you must sign a liability release. Follow the RSO's commands at all times.

Some days may have scheduled matches and you should check the calendar before going to the range for recreational shooting.
Public Use Range Fees: $10.00 daily fee for non-members.
